Control Fire blight and other bacterial disease
Fire blight caused by Erwinia amylovora can spread fast under the right conditions and cause severe damage in susceptible pome fruit varieties. KASUMIN has activity against many bacterial diseases and provides effective control of Fire blight, including streptomycin-resistant isolates in apple and pears. In cherry, KASUMIN controls Blossom blast and provides suppression of Bacterial canker. It also controls Fire blight in caneberries and Saskatoon berry.
Manage Bacterial spot and Bacterial stem canker in fruiting vegetables and Walnut blight in walnuts
KASUMIN provides suppression of destructive Bacterial spot and Bacterial stem canker in field-grown tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. KASUMIN also provides suppression of Walnut blight caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. Juglandis on walnuts.
In fruiting vegetables, KASUMIN can be tank-mixed with other products (Kocide® formulations) used to control/suppress bacterial diseases as part of an overall disease management program.
The active ingredient in KASUMIN, kasugamycin, features a unique mode of action with no known cross-resistance to other bactericides. As with any product, sound resistance management practices should be employed to reduce the likelihood of bacteria developing resistance to KASUMIN.
